JOB DESCRIPTION

Secures and develops new accounts by effectively presenting Kelron Logistics value added services and benefits to potential customers.

  • Unrelenting focus on developing new business prospects.  Obtaining potential customers via aggressive phone sales and existing relationships.
  • Conducts client visitations when required. Obtains pertinent information concerning prospects.
  • Qualifies feasibility of potential customers based on our capability to service them effectively. Identifies the needs and wants of each potential customer.
  • Develops and maintains positive on-going relationships with all prospective clients and existing clients.
  • Conducts follow-up calls on prospects within a timely manner.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Provides rates and alternative freight solutions for potential clients.
  • Collaborates with operations department to problem-solve and provide optimal transportation service.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

If you have proven Logistics Sales capabilities, and are guided with strong customer relations then this is the position for you.  Effective communication skills and a tenacious, persistent personality are also required for successful performance in this position.  In addition, the ability to operate in a Windows environment, and effectively organize and plan tasks on daily basis is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. A post-secondary diploma or degree is preferred in Transportation and Logistics.
  • At least three year's experience in a senior sales representative role is required selling Intermodal services, brokered Highway truckload and LTL services.
