JOB STATEMENT
Develops, establishes and maintains positive relationships with all Kelron clients by providing "Gold Standard" customer service at all times.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Provides and supports all service requirements of assigned Kelron Clients exactly to or higher than their expectations.
2. Assimilates and accepts all business assigned to client support from the sales department.
3. Identifies the individual needs and wants of each client for each freight movement.
4. Inputs all relevant data for each freight movement into the appropriate Kelron applications.
5. Ensures all necessary information for each order is communicated effectively to all logistics coordinators and team members through the appropriate communication channel.
6. Problem-solves client specific freight issues from the point of order placement through to completion.
7. Collaborates and offers assistance to other team members in delivering optimal transportation service solutions.
8. Continually updates clients as to the status of each order as required.
9. Pro-actively communicates any service delays or disruptions in service to customers
10. Calls all existing accounts to ensure they are satisfied with the level of service received. Suggests improvements that Kelron can make to increase their level of satisfaction. Inquires about additional available shipments to increase business.
11. Maintains the highest professional relations at all times in any dealings with any Kelron clients, Kelron employees, or outside suppliers.
12. Solicits referral business from all accounts. Advises all pick-up and delivery points about Kelron in an attempt to solicit new business.
13. Provides office support duties such as answering phones, taking messages and transferring phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
14. Performs related duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor, Operations Manager and General Manager.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS
Effective communication, telephone and organizational skills are required skills for this position. A strong customer service orientation, coupled with an ability to work effectively in teams is also required. Must have the ability to problem-solve and multi-task efficiently. Additionally, a strong sense of urgency is required. Must be able to operate efficiently in a Windows environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Experience handling clients over the phone is preferred, but not required. Experience related to the transportation industry would be an asset. Must possess an ability to effectively assess and identify clients' unique needs and wants over the phone.
