JOB STATEMENT
Secures and develops new accounts by effectively presenting Kelron Logistics value added services and benefits to potential customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Unrelenting focus on developing new business prospects. Obtaining potential customers via aggressive phone sales and existing relationships.
- Qualifies feasibility of potential customers based on our capability to service them effectively. Identifies the needs and wants of each potential customer.
- Develop, identify and qualify new business development opportunities through various lead sources including sales team members and relationship managers.
- Conducts follow-up calls on prospects within a timely manner.
- Excellent time management skills
- Provides rates and alternative freight solutions for potential clients, by collaborating with operations department to problem-solve and provide optimal transportation service.
- Develop and secure incremental revenue and market share from new business and existing accounts to achieve profitable volume growth consistent with marketing plan initiatives.
- Conducts client visitations when required. Obtains pertinent information concerning prospect.
- Develops and maintains positive on going relationships with all prospective clients and existing clients.
- Facilitate cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate the market.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS
If you have proven “Business to Business” Sales capabilities, and are guided with a strong customer orientation then this is the position for you. Effective communication skills and a tenacious, persistent personality are also required for successful performance in this position. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
- Ability to develop strong business relationships within all levels of organizations, including senior level executives.
- Requires positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and a customer-focused orientation.
- Uncompromised integrity.
- Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based specific software applications.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and vendors.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Valid provincial issued drivers license. Proof of automobile insurance. Valid Canadian Passport.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College or University Degree is preferred for this position.
- Minimum three years industry experience preferred.
