JOB STATEMENT
Processes carrier invoices efficiently and accurately to meet individual customer requirements in conjunction with billing and payable timelines.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for reconciling invoices with proof of delivery. Including imaging and linking appropriate paperwork for customer and carrier invoices.
2. Responsible for communicating discrepancies with Operations staff (ie. OS&D’s & Review Board)
3. Resolves problems regarding invoices via correspondence, telephone or by E-mail with carriers and ensures on time retrieval of paperwork. Communicates any unresolved issues to immediate Supervisor.
4. Responsible for confirming carrier rates when required.
5. Liaises with all branch administration personnel in regards to payables and other administrative functions.
6. Performs related clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems, completing reports and carrier enquiries.
7. Responsible for confirming customer rates when required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
This position requires an individual who can communicate effectively and professionally; written and verbally. Must have the ability to work with numbers quickly and accurately and be able to focus on tasks for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail. In addition strong multi-tasking skills are an asset. The ability to analyze data and work independently on routine tasks is required, and ownership of responsibilities is needed to be successful.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of college or other courses in accounting, bookkeeping or computer operation is also required. A combination of skill training and practical work experience, using the latest software packages and technology is usually required.
